I don't trust them at all, really.

They bring us here, put wings on us, mark us with a tracker. Sure, we have houses and stuff and clothes and food all free, but that could all just disappear if they decided to stop sending it. [Even a lapdog from District Two had known she was at the Capitol's mercy. This place is just like it.]

They call us to fight. Sometimes you can sign up, sometimes they just pick people. If they pick people? No negotiation. They go, no one not chosen does. No arguing. Can't take someone's place.

So... no. Don't trust 'em.

Everyone gets used to the wings eventually, just don't fall on them or knock them around too much. They hurt a lot at first.

There's no way home so I guess no one really has any choice but to get used to them anyway.

I'm afraid that means of returning home have yet to be discovered, at least means in which we are aware of our departure ahead of time. [People just up and left one day, others stayed. There was no true pattern to it much to her frustration and that of many others.]

As for your wings, it would be best to simply become adjusted to them. Some would say that with time you forget about them, though to do so completely is inadvisable.
